To combat tuberculosis (TB), the government has allocated IDR 4.8 billion for a TB control program, which includes socializing and disseminating information on prevention to 5,400 individuals. This effort is part of the country’s broader initiative to reduce the incidence of TB and strengthen public health measures.

IDR 53 billion has been set aside for the testing of 49,300 medicine samples and 19,300 food samples. This allocation will ensure that the quality and safety of pharmaceuticals and food products meet strict standards, protecting public health and preventing harmful products from reaching consumers.

Minister Sri Mulyani emphasized the crucial role of the healthcare budget in shaping Indonesia’s future. By investing in public health, the government is creating a healthier, more productive, and competitive generation. These efforts are aligned with the broader national vision of achieving a prosperous and advanced Indonesia, often referred to as “Indonesia Emas” (Golden Indonesia).

Sri Mulyani reiterated that the national budget’s focus on healthcare is integral to the country’s long-term development. A strong healthcare system is not only essential for addressing immediate public health challenges but also for fostering a resilient and sustainable workforce, which is key to driving Indonesia’s economic growth and prosperity.
